Star Commercial Real Est. LLC was original conceived in late 1993 as CDC Commercial Real Estate and became Star Commercial in 2001. Specializing Primarily in retail sales and leases, Star Commercial has finalized hundreds of transactions since its inception.

Star has a philosophy regarding exclusive listings- we accept only what we know we can get done. It is not our goal to carry a large overhead of properties to be serviced but to lease quickly the properties we do list exclusively.

The technique we employ for tenent representation is to provide the finest information, advice , background and competence our years of expertise can define, narrowed down to fit the particular tenant requirements, whether a 90,000SF Movie mega-plex or a 500SF specialty store.

Deborah Foehr :

Deborah Foehr, nee Jellinek, principal of Star Commercial Real Estate, LLC has been in the industry since 1977. Starting her career in Greenwich, CT working for a retail developer, Deborah's first job covered everything from construction supervision and lease negotiations to painting stores to meet delivery deadlines. (What an introduction to retail!) Having specialized in land and building sales in the early 80's for a local Westport realtor, life changed after the 1986 tax law changes when most investors stopped buying tax shelters. Deborah became specifically interested in the retail industry after getting her feet wet with deals in downtown Westport, CT such as Talbot's, Eddie Bauer and Silver Ribbon. A bit of a rebel, Deborah hated wearing suits and other accoutrements required of an office leasing broker and found retailers refreshing and diverse. Each store was different, not just walls, windows and doors. After working 10 years for one firm, Deborah started CDC Commercial Real Estate with a partner in 1994. From a 500SF office, she has created the premier Retail Real Estate firm in Fairfield County. When the partnership ended in 2000, CDC became Star Commercial Real Estate, LLC.
